Fitsme Large Cable Management Box - More Space, Better Ventilation

The problem with most cable management boxes is that they are designed for a power strip with two or three adapters, not the reality of an Indian WFH desk. A typical setup involves a 6-socket power strip, a laptop charger brick, a monitor adapter, a phone charger, maybe a USB hub power adapter - and suddenly a standard-sized cable box is at capacity with the lid barely closing.

Interior Capacity

The Fitsme large box can comfortably hold a standard Indian 6-socket extension board (the wide-spaced type from Wipro, Anchor, or similar brands) plus three to four charger bricks without cramming. There is enough internal space that adapters are not stacked against each other, which matters for heat dissipation.

The cable exit openings on the sides are large and positioned at multiple points, so you can route cables in from both sides and out through a different opening without the cables crossing internally.

Ventilation Design

This is where Fitsme differentiates from the Zebronics and generic cable boxes in this category. The Fitsme has a removable vent panel on the top and perforated sides. When you have multiple adapters running simultaneously - particularly in Indian summer heat - this ventilation actually makes a temperature difference.

I measured the interior temperature during peak load (laptop charger, monitor adapter, phone charger, small USB hub) and the Fitsme box with vent panel open ran noticeably cooler than a Zebronics-equivalent box with only small ventilation slots. Physical Size Trade-Off

If your desk is small, assess whether the box goes on the desk surface or can be placed on the floor next to the desk. On the floor, the size is not an issue. On a tight desk surface, it may be the dominant object in the setup.

Build Quality

The plastic is dense and the lid closure mechanism is firm. The Fitsme box feels more solidly built than the Zebronics equivalent, which justifies the ₹400 price premium between them. The corner joins are tight and the surface finish is consistent.

Available in white and dark grey. The dark grey variant is better at hiding dust accumulation, which is a real consideration for desks that do not get wiped down weekly.

Monsoon and Dust Considerations

The larger ventilation openings mean more dust ingress than a more sealed box. In a dusty environment, you will need to clean the interior and the power strip inside it periodically. The trade-off is the same as with most ventilation decisions: better airflow, more dust.

During monsoon, the ventilation openings are open to ambient humidity. I keep the vent panel in its partially closed position during monsoon months to balance airflow and moisture control.

Who Should Buy This

Anyone with a heavily loaded WFH desk who has tried a standard cable box and found it too small. The Fitsme large is the correct size for a real Indian WFH setup with multiple devices. Budget for the desk space it requires.
