Kokuyo is a Japanese company with a long presence in office furniture and stationery. The Jib cable management range was designed for office furniture, which shows in the finish quality and bracket precision. This is not a cheap welded-wire tray from a generic manufacturer. The edges are rolled and the coating does not chip easily under normal use.

Installation - What Indian Desks Need

If it shows third-party seller with 7–15 day delivery, check the seller ratings carefully.

This means if you need a cable tray urgently, Kokuyo Jib is not the right answer - look at a domestic brand or a generic steel cable tray at ₹799–999 on Amazon India, which will deliver in two days.

It is also the most comprehensive - it gets cables and a surge protector entirely off the floor and out of view, which nothing else in this category achieves. For a permanent home office setup in an Indian apartment, the ₹1,499 spent on the Jib eliminates a visible cable problem that will bother you every time you look at your desk.

The generic cable trays at ₹799–999 on Amazon India are a legitimate alternative if availability or budget is the constraint. They work. They are not as well-finished, and the mounting brackets are less precise, but they mount under a desk and hold cables the same way.

Buy or Skip

Buy if you are setting up a permanent desk, want under-desk cable management rather than clip-based solutions, and can wait for availability. This is the product I would recommend for anyone doing a proper desk setup rather than a temporary fix.

Skip if you need something immediately and cannot wait for stock. Also skip if your desk is glass, if your desk thickness is outside the 15–30mm range, or if you rent and cannot drill into the desk underside - in which case, an adhesive-mounted surge protector holder or a cable box on the floor is a better fit for your situation.
