For bandwidth: at 1080p60, OBS will generate a captured signal internally to encode at whatever bitrate you set. For streaming to YouTube India at 1080p, a stable 6–8 Mbps upload is required. The Ripsaw HD's uncompressed capture path actually gives OBS more data to work with for the encode, which helps stream quality on YouTube's compression pipeline compared to pre-compressed H.264 input.

Who Should Buy This - and Who Should Skip It

Buy the Ripsaw HD if you are starting out and have never set up a capture card before. The zero-driver Windows installation removes the single biggest support headache for Indian beginners. It's also the right pick if you already own a capable gaming PC with an NVIDIA or AMD GPU - OBS with hardware encoding (NVENC or AMF) on an uncompressed input from the Ripsaw HD will produce excellent 1080p60 YouTube output.

Skip it if you own a PS5 or Xbox Series X and want HDR passthrough, VRR support, or 4K capture - the Elgato HD60 X handles those properly at ₹14,999–15,999 and is worth the premium. Skip it if you don't have a PC at all and need standalone recording - the AVerMedia LGP2 Plus's SD card mode is the answer there. And skip the Ripsaw HD if you're on a laptop with only USB 2.0 ports - the USB 3.0 bandwidth requirement is not optional for 1080p60 uncompressed capture.
