Sony builds the WH-1000XM5 — widely considered the best ANC consumer headphone available. The INZONE H9 II is what happens when that ANC expertise gets applied to a gaming headset. At ₹20,999–22,999, it's the only gaming headset in India where the noise cancellation genuinely competes with dedicated consumer headphones.

That's both its greatest strength and the reason you might not need it.

What Works

The ANC on the H9 II is noticeably better than any competing gaming headset I've tested. Indian gaming environments — shared rooms, street noise, running AC units, pressure cooker sounds from the kitchen — get handled significantly better here than on the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless or G PRO X 2. Sony's algorithm is the real deal.

360 Spatial Sound for PlayStation integration is native and requires no setup on PS5. The experience is noticeably more spatial than what third-party headsets achieve with PS5's software. For PS5-primary gamers, this is a meaningful advantage.

Bluetooth + 2.4GHz wireless simultaneously. You can stay connected to your PC or PS5 via 2.4GHz while taking calls on Bluetooth from your phone. Multi-device convenience at this price level is what you pay for.

Sound quality for both gaming and music is excellent — Sony's audio tuning experience shows. The 40mm drivers have a wide soundstage and detailed reproduction that outperforms gaming-brand headsets at similar prices. This doubles as a genuinely good music headset.

Build quality is premium — Sony's consumer electronics build philosophy carries over. Doesn't feel like a gaming peripheral trying to look premium; feels like a Sony product that also happens to be for gaming.

What Doesn't Work

Battery life at 32 hours is behind the G PRO X 2's 50 hours and significantly behind the V2 Pro's 70 hours. For most gamers this won't matter, but for marathon sessions it's worth noting.

The INZONE Hub software (PC companion app) is functional but less feature-rich than SteelSeries GG or Logitech G HUB for gaming-specific EQ. Sony optimizes for consumer audio experience, not esports-granular customization.

Microphone quality is the weak point. It's adequate for gaming voice chat but doesn't match the Blue VO!CE implementation in Logitech's lineup or the ClearCast mic in SteelSeries headsets. For streamers or content creators where mic quality matters, this is a real limitation.

Sony's gaming peripheral warranty service in India is handled through their consumer electronics centers — which actually works better than dedicated gaming brands. But stock for the INZONE line can be inconsistent outside major metros.

India Availability and Value

Available at Sony Center retail stores across India, Amazon India, and Flipkart. MDComputers and PrimeABGB may stock it but not always consistently. Sony's physical retail presence (Sony Centers) is actually a genuine advantage — you can examine it in person in cities where the stores exist.

At ₹20,999–22,999, the pricing is relatively fair given the ANC quality and Sony's audio reputation. International pricing sits around $280 USD, making the India price a modest but not excessive markup after GST and duties.
