At 165Hz, the panel is smooth and responsive. The 1ms GtG response time holds up well in fast-paced games — I've used this monitor for FPS sessions and the motion handling is competitive without the backlight strobe artifacts you sometimes get on cheaper panels.

The 1440p resolution at 27" hits 109 PPI, which is the sweet spot for desktop use. Text is sharp without needing scaling, game worlds look noticeably more detailed than 1080p, and you don't need an RTX 4080 to push acceptable frame rates at this resolution.

One honest callout: the HDR performance is mediocre. DisplayHDR 400 looks better on paper than it performs — there's no local dimming and peak brightness isn't high enough for impactful HDR.
