Cybeart Aurora RGB Mousepad Review India 2026 — Is the RGB Worth ₹3,500?
Cybeart Aurora RGB Mousepad — India Review 2026
Cybeart is an Indian gaming accessories brand that's built a reasonable following in the sub-₹4,000 RGB peripheral segment. The Aurora RGB mousepad is their extended cloth pad with addressable RGB lighting around the perimeter — think Razer Goliathus Chroma energy at a more accessible Indian price.
At ₹3,199–3,799, the Aurora sits below the Razer Goliathus Chroma Extended and competes with the ASUS ROG Scabbard II. For RGB setup builds in India, it's one of the more visible options because the brand actively sells through Amazon India.
Surface Feel and Durability
The Aurora's surface is a medium-speed cloth — slightly faster than control pads, comparable to the SteelSeries QcK in glide speed. Sensor tracking is clean. No complaints there.
The standout feature is the RGB edge lighting. It's powered via a separate USB cable alongside the main pad — so you're using two USB ports. The lighting itself is decent: it cycles through patterns, supports static colours, and has reasonable brightness. The India-relevant caveat is that Cybeart's app (CyGear software) for controlling lighting is Windows-only and has had inconsistent update cycles. The default cycling modes look fine without any software.
Build quality on the stitched edges is acceptable. The rubber base holds firmly. My concern with Cybeart — and I'll say this honestly — is long-term durability. The USB cable connecting the RGB elements is the failure point. If that joint wears or the cable gets pinched, the lighting dies and you're left with a plain cloth pad at a premium price. I've seen this on two units in the Indian PC community within a year of purchase.
At ₹3,199+, I expect components that last. The surface will outlive the lighting system.
India Availability and Value
Cybeart is one of the easier Indian gaming brands to buy from. Amazon India is the primary channel with Prime delivery available. MDComputers carries it occasionally. The after-sales experience is better than most small Indian brands — they do respond to warranty queries.
The value equation: you're paying roughly ₹1,500 more than a non-RGB cloth pad of similar quality. That premium is entirely for the lighting. If lighting matters to your setup, it's reasonable. If you just want a functional pad, spend less.
Who Should Buy the Aurora RGB
Buy this if you're building an RGB-themed India gaming setup and want the lighting to extend to your mousepad without paying Razer prices. For a value gaming build with RGB aesthetics, see /builds/T03. The surface does the job and the lighting adds real visual impact to a desk setup.
Who Should Skip It
Skip this if you're a competitive player who wants a consistent, long-lasting surface. The risk of USB lighting failure after 12–18 months means you might end up with a compromised product.
Skip it if you don't care about RGB — there are better cloth pads at ₹2,000–2,500 for pure performance. The SteelSeries QcK+ and HyperX Fury S are better choices for gaming without lighting.
Questions
Yes. Default lighting cycles and basic patterns work plug-and-play. You only need the CyGear software to customise colours or set static lighting.
Better than most small Indian gaming brands. Amazon India returns within 10 days are the safest option. Beyond that, Cybeart has a support email and responds within a few days — not the fastest, but functional.
Razer's Chroma is brighter, more configurable, and integrates with other Razer products through Synapse. Cybeart's lighting is simpler but costs significantly less. For a standalone setup without a Razer ecosystem, Cybeart is adequate.
