HyperX Fury S Speed XL Review India 2026 — Fastest Cloth Pad Under ₹3,500?
HyperX Fury S Speed Edition XL — India Review 2026
The HyperX Fury S Speed Edition is a cloth pad designed explicitly for fast glide. If you play FPS at low DPI with wide arm swipes — the type of player who needs the mouse to move far without resistance — this is one of the most satisfying pads you can buy in India under ₹3,500.
At ₹2,699–3,299, it's in the same bracket as the SteelSeries QcK+ but with a very different surface character. Where the QcK+ is balanced, the Fury S Speed is optimised for one thing.
Surface Feel and Durability
The Fury S Speed surface is a tightly woven, low-friction cloth. The difference from a standard cloth pad is immediately apparent — initial mouse resistance is very low, and the pad doesn't grab the mouse feet at the start of each movement. For wide-swing, low-DPI FPS play, this translates to more consistent tracking across the full sweep of the pad.
The XL size (450 x 400mm) gives enough room for low-sensitivity players without going full extended mat. For players who use 400 DPI at 1x multiplier in something like CS2, this is the minimum size that makes sense.
Sensor performance is excellent. The tight weave means there's minimal texture variation across the surface — sensors track with high consistency regardless of where on the pad you're tracking. No jitter, no cutout risk.
Durability is good for a cloth pad at this price. The stitched edges hold well. In India's humid conditions, I wash this pad every 6–8 weeks — it recovers well, and the speed characteristics return to baseline after drying flat. The rubber base is firm and doesn't shift.
One genuine downside: the speed surface accumulates skin oils and sweat faster than control cloth pads. If you game with sweaty palms in summer, the surface starts to slow down earlier than a control pad would. More frequent washing required.
India Availability and Value
Amazon India and Flipkart both carry the Fury S Speed XL consistently. MDComputers and PrimeABGB stock it as well. HyperX has solid India distribution through Kingston's network, which means warranty claims are more straightforward than smaller brands. 2-year warranty applies.
At ₹2,699–3,299, this is one of the better-value performance mousepads available in India. The speed surface is genuinely differentiating at this price.
Who Should Buy the Fury S Speed XL
Buy this if you play competitive FPS at low sensitivity. CS2, Valorant, Apex Legends players who use wide arm movements will immediately feel the benefit. For a competitive mid-range build, see /builds/T04.
Also good for players who have tried standard cloth pads and found them too grabby — the Speed edition solves exactly that problem.
Who Should Skip It
Skip this if you play strategy, RTS, or productivity-heavy tasks. The low-friction surface makes precise, short movements harder to control. A balanced or control pad suits those use cases better.
Skip it if you use high DPI (1600+). The speed benefit matters most at low DPI with large movements; at high DPI you're doing small flicks where the surface difference is minimal.
Questions
The Fury S Speed is noticeably faster; the QcK+ is more balanced. If you're a low-DPI FPS player, Fury S Speed wins. For everything else, QcK+ is the safer choice. I recommend trying both if possible — the surface preference is personal.
It works, but sweaty palms affect it more than control pads. Keep it clean — wash every 4–6 weeks if you're gaming in hot conditions without AC. The surface recovers well after washing.
Yes — there's also an XXL variant (900 x 420mm). Availability in India is more sporadic than the XL; Amazon India is the best source. Expect a higher price point.
