What Works

Line interactive topology means this UPS actively regulates voltage without switching to battery. When your wall supply sags to 160V or spikes to 270V, the AVR circuit corrects it before it reaches your PSU. For Indian power conditions — where voltage sag is often a bigger daily issue than full outages — this is the right architecture.

Pure sine wave output is the headline feature here. Most PC power supplies are fine with modified sine wave, but high-end PSUs (especially 80+ Gold and above), laser printers, and some external hard drive enclosures genuinely benefit from clean sine wave. At this price, Luminous is the only brand offering this in the Indian market.

Real backup time at 300W load is around 15–20 minutes. The internal battery is a 12V 9Ah unit — slightly beefier than what you get in the sub-₹5,000 options.

What Doesn't Work

The transfer time is still in the 10–12ms range despite being line interactive — some competitors at similar pricing claim faster switching. For PC power supplies with good hold-up time, this is fine. For very sensitive equipment, it's not ideal.

The display is minimal — LED indicators rather than a proper LCD readout. You don't get runtime estimates or detailed voltage readings without an external meter.
