NZXT H1 V2 Review India 2025 — Best SFF ITX Case with Built-In PSU and AIO?
NZXT H1 V2 — Three Components in One Box, and the Only SFF Case That Makes Me Comfortable Recommending SFF Builds to Beginners
SFF builds have a reputation for being complicated. Sourcing an SFX or SFX-L PSU in India is a pain — the selection is thin, prices are high post-import duties, and brands like Corsair SF Series and Seasonic Focus SGX cost ₹20,000–15,000 on their own. Then you need a 120mm or 140mm AIO that fits a tight ITX case, which is another ₹6,000–12,000. And the ITX case itself. You can easily spend ₹30,000+ before a single component goes in.
The H1 V2 bundles all three into one product. That is the entire value proposition, and it is a strong one.
What V2 Fixed Over V1
The original H1 had a fire safety recall related to a PCIe riser cable issue — NZXT handled it well, but it shook confidence in the platform. The V2 addresses this with a new PCIe 4.0 riser cable, revised internal routing, and an updated PSU. The 650W SFX-L unit is made by Seasonic for NZXT and has an 80 Plus Gold rating — that is a legitimate quality PSU, not a no-name unit slapped in to hit a bundle price.
The included 140mm AIO is basic in terms of aesthetics — no LCD, no per-LED ARGB — but it is thermally competent. For an i5-13600K or Ryzen 5 7600X, it handles sustained loads without throttling. For an i7-13700K or Ryzen 7 7800X3D, it is on the edge during long sustained all-core loads but manages gaming workloads (which rarely sustain full all-core) well.
India Pricing and Where to Buy
₹20,000–28,000 is the current India range. MDComputers is the most consistent stockist. PrimeABGB sometimes has it. Amazon India and Flipkart availability is hit or miss — NZXT products in SFF categories are not always restocked quickly in India.
NZXT's India distribution has improved, but SFF products remain niche enough that stock can disappear for weeks. If MDComputers shows in stock, I would order without waiting.
GPU Clearance — The Key Limitation
325mm GPU clearance is the hard constraint of the H1 V2. The RTX 4060 and RTX 4060 Ti both fit — most reference-length and compact dual-fan variants are under 310mm. The RTX 4070 in its compact form (ASUS ROG Strix is too long, but ASUS Dual or Gigabyte WindForce variants check the length). The RTX 4070 Super at most configurations is too long. Check your exact GPU dimensions before ordering — this is where SFF builds bite people who do not do their homework.
Who Should Buy the H1 V2
This is the right case for someone who values desk space above all, is comfortable with a compact build, and does not want to spend hours researching SFX PSU compatibility charts and ITX AIO clearance measurements. It is also a legitimate choice for LAN party regulars — the H1 V2 is one of the most portable gaming PC configurations you can build.
If you are pairing it with an i5-13600K or Ryzen 5 7600X and an RTX 4060 or 4060 Ti, the thermal and power headroom is comfortable.
Who Should Skip It
If your GPU is longer than 325mm, the decision is already made for you — it will not fit. If you are in a tier-2 city with limited online access and need hands-on support for SFF quirks (like resolving PCIe riser cable issues), the complexity of SFF troubleshooting without nearby support is a real concern. For first-time builders in those situations, a standard mid-tower ATX build is genuinely easier.
Questions
Yes — NZXT provides a limited warranty through their India distribution. Keep your purchase invoice. Service centers are primarily in metros; tier-2 city warranty may require courier to the nearest service point.
The 650W SFX-L unit is replaceable with a compatible SFX-L PSU. However, the included unit is a quality Seasonic-made 80 Plus Gold unit, so most users will not need to upgrade unless they push power limits with overclocking.
Ryzen 5 7600X, i5-13600K, Ryzen 7 7800X3D — all handle well. Core i7-13700K under sustained all-core load (rendering, not gaming) may thermal throttle slightly. For heavy workstation use, upgrade the AIO or consider a high-end air cooler like the Noctua NH-L12S.
The AIO pump head has the NZXT branding lighting but it is not full ARGB. The case itself has no additional lighting. This is a clean, minimal aesthetic — if you want RGB, this is not the case for you.
