This closes out my coverage of Gigabyte's Z690 lineup in this batch, four boards total, all new to GetPC. Z690 launched with 12th gen Alder Lake and, because LGA1700 carried through 13th and 14th gen, still runs the i5-12400F, i5-13600KF, and i7-14700K already covered here. The Aorus Pro sits above the Gaming X DDR4 and Aorus Elite AX DDR4 in Gigabyte's own hierarchy, the strongest DDR4 option before you'd need to look at a DDR5-only board for more headroom.

The VRM Case for Choosing This Over the Aorus Elite AX

The price gap between the Aorus Pro and the Aorus Elite AX is narrow, just ₹1,300 at confirmed pricing, but the VRM improvement is the reason to spend it. Where the Elite AX is tuned for moderate overclocking on a K-series chip, the Aorus Pro carries a stronger phase count and better thermal design that gives you real confidence running an i7-14700K with a sustained overclock rather than just stock-to-mild-boost settings. If you're on the fence between the two and plan to actually push your CPU, the extra money here is well spent.
