₹25,000₹4,000 CHEAPER · ~16% FASTERThe newer card wins on both price and speed. The 3060's only argument is its 12GB.This is the pair where the popular advice is out of date. The RTX 3060 12GB earned its reputation as the budget default of its era, but in 2026 the RX 7600 is roughly 16% faster and about ₹4,000 cheaper in India. Winning on both axes usually ends a comparison.
The 3060's counter-argument is real and worth stating fairly: 12GB against 8GB. If you play texture-heavy titles, mod heavily, or want to run local AI models where VRAM is the binding constraint, the older card genuinely does something the newer one cannot. That is a narrow but legitimate case.
For ordinary 1080p gaming, though, it is the wrong trade - you would be paying more for fewer frames on older architecture with weaker upscaling, to hold VRAM you will not use at that resolution. Buy the 7600. And if 12GB matters to you specifically, don't settle for a 3060 - the money is better aimed at a modern 12GB card.
The 3060 is a 2021 card still on Indian shelves, and warranty runs from the invoice date of the original import, not from the day you buy it. Ask how old the stock is and confirm the remaining warranty in writing. A card with eight months left is a very different purchase from one with three years.
Faster and cheaper. At this resolution 8GB is sufficient and the newer architecture ages better.
12GB and CUDA are genuine advantages for these workloads. Just check the stock age and remaining warranty first.
If 12GB is the goal, aim at a modern 12GB card rather than a five-year-old one. The 3060 is not the efficient way to get there.
Only for VRAM-bound work like local AI or heavy modding, where its 12GB and CUDA support matter. For gaming it is both slower and more expensive than the RX 7600 in India, which is a difficult combination to justify.
For 1080p gaming, no - you will not use the extra capacity, and the 7600 delivers more frames. For VRAM-heavy workloads, yes, and that is the one scenario where the older card wins.
About 16% in modern titles, with a larger gap in newer engines that suit RDNA 3. It also costs roughly ₹4,000 less at Indian street prices.
Stock age and remaining warranty. It is a 2021 card, and Indian warranty typically runs from the original import invoice rather than your purchase date - get the remaining coverage confirmed in writing.
RTX 3060 12GB
Still sold new in India. 12GB VRAM ages better than RTX 4060's 8GB for textures. Pair with 1080p displays.
RX 7600 8GB
Budget 1080p card. Cheaper than RTX 4060 but lacks DLSS — FSR is improving but still inferior. Buy on price alone.
