Cooler Master MasterBox NR200P Review India 2025 — Best Mini-ITX SFF Case Under ₹6,800
The MasterBox NR200P Is Still the Mini-ITX Case I Recommend First
Small form factor builds have a reputation for being complicated. Either you're fighting cable management in a shoebox, or you're paying a premium for a case that still can't fit a real GPU. The Cooler Master MasterBox NR200P sits outside both of those traps — and that's why it keeps showing up in my SFF build recommendations.
Price in India: ₹7,500–10,500 depending on the variant and where you buy. MDComputers and Vedant both stock it reliably.
What "MasterBox" Actually Means Here
Quick clarification because the naming trips people up: the MasterBox NR200P and the CM NR200P refer to the same chassis. The "MasterBox" branding distinguishes this mesh-panel variant from the tempered glass version. On the actual product page at MDComputers, you'll see it listed simply as MasterBox NR200P. Same internals, different top and side panel material. The mesh version breathes better — I'll explain why that matters in a moment.
Why the Layout Works
Most Mini-ITX cases hit a wall with one of three things: PSU size, radiator support, or GPU length. The NR200P clears all three.
PSU: Supports both SFX and full ATX PSUs. SFX is ideal for tight builds, but if you already own a standard ATX unit from a previous build, you don't need to buy a new one. That's a meaningful saving — SFX PSUs in India cost ₹7,000–14,000 more than equivalent ATX units.
Cooling: 280mm AIO fits on the side panel, 240mm fits on the top. In Indian summers — and if you're in Chennai, Hyderabad, or Pune where ambient temperatures regularly hit 38–42°C — AIO support in a compact case matters more than it does in Europe. The NR200P handles it properly, unlike cases that technically list AIO support but require removing the drive cage.
GPU: Up to 330mm. That covers RTX 4070, RTX 4070 Ti, RTX 5060 Ti, and most triple-slot cards with room to spare. You're not limited to founder's edition slim cards.
Mesh vs TG: Which to Choose in India
The mesh panel version (MasterBox NR200P) is what I recommend for most Indian builders. Here's why: the tempered glass version restricts airflow through the side panel, which is your primary intake surface in this case. In a hot Indian room — or if your PC is in a warmer corner — restricted intake means your CPU and GPU run 3–6°C hotter under sustained load. That's not dramatic, but in a Mini-ITX case where thermals are already tighter, every degree counts.
If you're building a living room PC or display setup where aesthetics matter more than noise and temperatures, the TG version is fine. But for a gaming build that runs heavy loads, mesh is the better call.
Who Should Buy This
You want a compact build — apartment living, desk space constraints, or you're carrying it to LAN events. You have a GPU under 330mm and are fine with Mini-ITX motherboards. You want AIO support without paying ₹15,000+ for a niche SFF case.
Who Should Skip
You want a standard ATX build. The NR200P only fits Mini-ITX motherboards — no mATX, no full ATX. Mini-ITX boards in India are limited in options and cost more: good ones start at ₹12,000–16,000 vs ₹7,000–9,000 for comparable mATX. If you want dual-channel memory with more slot options and cheaper board choices, build in an mATX case instead.
Also skip if you're buying a large AIO — 360mm radiators don't fit here.
India Availability
Consistently in stock at MDComputers (Kolkata) and Vedant Computers (Mumbai/Delhi). PrimeABGB occasionally has it. Amazon India stock fluctuates. Flipkart carries it but pricing tends to be higher. I'd buy from MDComputers or Vedant for reliable pricing and genuine warranty support from Rashi Peripherals.
Questions
Yes — the case includes both an ATX PSU bracket and an SFX bracket. ATX PSUs reduce available GPU clearance slightly but it still fits cards up to 330mm with most standard ATX PSUs.
Yes, on the side panel. 240mm fits on the top. You can't use both simultaneously, so pick one mounting position based on your component layout.
Yes, distributed through Rashi Peripherals with standard Cooler Master India warranty coverage. Check at purchase for current warranty terms.
The NR200P has a full-size PCIe riser for vertical GPU mounting (included). The base NR200 is cheaper but lacks the riser. In India the price gap is small enough that I'd pay for the NR200P version every time.
