Mesh Front + DRGB Fans Under ₹10k — Actually

Getting a mesh-front airflow case with D-RGB fans pre-installed at this price tier in India is genuinely rare. Most budget cases either have a mesh front with dull fans, or glossy fronts that hide mediocre airflow. Phanteks threaded the needle with the P400A Digital — three front-mounted 120mm D-RGB fans, a perforated steel mesh panel with real open area, and a full tempered glass left panel, all under ₹9,500 at street pricing.

I've personally built in the P400A Digital twice — once with an RTX 3070 and once with an RX 6750 XT — and both times the stock fan configuration handled thermals competently for the price. This is the case I hand-recommend to friends building their first mid-range gaming PC in India when airflow and aesthetics both matter and the budget is tight.

Airflow Performance and Build Quality

The three pre-installed 120mm D-RGB fans are rated at 1,500 RPM and move adequate air through the mesh front at moderate noise levels. In my testing, CPU temperatures on an i5-12600K with a 240mm AIO ran about 4°C warmer than on the Meshify 2 Compact under identical conditions — the mesh isn't quite as open as Fractal's design, but it's still significantly better than any glass or solid-front alternative at this price.

The front supports a 360mm radiator, which is the critical number for AIO builders. GPU clearance is 420mm — more than enough for any consumer GPU currently sold in India, including triple-fan cards on RTX 4070 Ti and above.

D-RGB compatibility means the fans connect to Phanteks' included D-RGB hub or directly to any motherboard with 5V 3-pin ARGB headers. I've run these fans off ASUS Aura, MSI Mystic Light, and Gigabyte Fusion boards without any compatibility issues. The hub itself is neatly velcroed behind the motherboard tray.

Build quality is acceptable for the price but a notch below Fractal — the steel feels slightly thinner and the side panel latch doesn't have the same satisfying click. These are nitpicks at ₹7,000, not dealbreakers. One genuine limitation: the P400A Digital comes only in a dark anthracite-black finish. There is no white variant. If your build is white-themed, this case doesn't work.

The P400A Digital sits between ₹7,000 and ₹9,500 across Indian retailers. Vedant Computers and PrimeABGB typically stock it at the lower end of that range. MDComputers is reliable for stock and usually competitive on pricing. Amazon India carries it but stock fluctuates — Flipkart is worth checking as a backup. Flash sales occasionally bring the P400A Digital close to ₹7,000, which is an extraordinary deal for what you get. GST is included in all retail prices. Buy from an established PC component shop to ensure warranty claims are honoured — Phanteks' India warranty runs through authorised resellers.

Who Should Buy

You're building a mid-range gaming PC and want RGB lighting synced to your motherboard without buying fans separately. You care about actual airflow — not just a mesh-looking panel but real thermal performance. You want the best combination of airflow, aesthetics, and included accessories under ₹10,000. You're fine with black as your chassis colour and appreciate a large tempered glass window to show off your build.

Who Should Skip

White or silver builds should look elsewhere — the P400A Digital has no white variant and the dark finish doesn't suit light-themed components. If RGB is completely unimportant to you, the Meshify 2 Compact offers better overall build quality at a similar price. Silent builds should also skip — the P400A prioritises airflow over noise dampening and the stock fans audibly spin up under full GPU+CPU load.
