Cooler Master MasterLiquid 240L Core - The Cheapest AIO That Actually Works

At ₹5,299–5,799, the Cooler Master MasterLiquid 240L Core is the entry point for liquid cooling in India. It is not the best AIO I cover in this series. The cooling performance is modest, the rubber tubing degrades faster in Indian humidity than sleeved alternatives, and I would not run anything beyond a Ryzen 5 or Core i5 on it. But it exists in a specific role - giving builders who want the AIO aesthetic without spending more than a budget air cooler a viable option - and within that role, it is hard to argue against.

Cooler Master has one of the strongest service networks of any cooler brand in India. Service centers in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, and Hyderabad mean that warranty claims are resolved in days, not weeks. That is a meaningful advantage over brands like NZXT or Arctic where RMA involves distributors and long waits. For a first-time builder who wants something simple, widely available, and backed by real local support, the MasterLiquid 240L Core earns its place.

Cooling and Noise Performance

Performance is average for a 240mm AIO. On a Ryzen 5 9600X at stock with 28°C ambient, the MasterLiquid 240L Core keeps temperatures in the 71–75°C range under Cinebench R24 multicore - perfectly adequate for that chip's 65W TDP. Push the ambient up to 38°C in an Indian summer, and you are looking at 82–87°C, which still passes but leaves no room for comfort.

Where it starts to struggle is with higher-TDP processors. A Ryzen 7 9700X running PBO runs noticeably hotter on this cooler than it would on an Arctic Liquid Freezer III 240. A Ryzen 5 7600X at stock is fine; the same chip with aggressive curve optimizer tuning is borderline. This is a cooler for stock clocks, not enthusiast tuning.

Noise is the other honest limitation. The bundled fans are not optimized for quiet operation - they move enough air to keep temperatures in check, but at higher RPMs under summer load they are audible compared to quieter AIOs from Arctic or NZXT. For a gaming PC where you wear headphones or sit at a distance from the case, this is not an issue. For a living-room HTPC or a bedroom build, it is worth factoring in.

Rubber tubing and monsoon concerns: This is the one area where I want to be particularly direct. The MasterLiquid 240L Core uses standard rubber tubing without a braided sleeve. In Indian monsoon conditions - especially coastal cities like Mumbai, Chennai, Kochi, or Visakhapatnam where relative humidity can stay at 80–95% for months - unprotected rubber tubing does degrade faster over a 3–5 year period. I have seen tubing on budget AIOs show surface cracking and stiffening after 3 years in high-humidity environments. This is not a warranty-eligible failure in most cases. Wrapping the tubes in a braided sleeve from a hardware store costs under ₹200 and adds meaningful longevity.

India Pricing, Availability, and Case Clearance

The MasterLiquid 240L Core is one of the most widely available AIOs in India - this is a genuine advantage over Arctic and NZXT. MDComputers, PrimeABGB, Vedant Computers, Amazon India, and Flipkart all carry it regularly. You are unlikely to face stock issues or wait times. For builders in smaller Indian cities where import-sourced products arrive slowly, the local availability of Cooler Master products is a meaningful practical benefit.

Current pricing: ₹5,299–5,799 with GST included. This is among the lowest price points for a 240mm AIO in India; only a handful of no-name options go cheaper, and I would not recommend those.

Warranty and service: Cooler Master operates service centers in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, and Hyderabad. Warranty claims get resolved in days rather than weeks, which is a meaningful differentiator against NZXT (3–5 week RMA) or Arctic (no dedicated India service). For first-time builders without a spare cooler available, fast local service matters.

Case clearance:

• Lian Li Lancool 216: Fits at front 240mm. Top-mount is tight depending on RAM height - front mount is the straightforward choice here.
• Antec P101 Silent: Front 240mm confirmed, no clearance issues. The P101's large interior makes this a painless install.
• Fractal Pop XL: Front and top 240mm both work. Easy install in this case.

The MasterLiquid 240L Core's radiator is a standard 25mm thickness, and the pump head is compact - clearance is rarely an issue in any mid-tower that supports 240mm radiators.

AM5 and LGA1851 mounting: Cooler Master has updated the MasterLiquid 240L Core with AM5 and LGA1851 brackets included in box. Double-check the listing if purchasing from older stock. Cooler Master India also offers bracket replacements through their service centers if you have an older unit - which is again where the local service network advantage shows up.

Who Should Buy This / Who Should Skip It

Buy it if: You are building a ₹50K–70K system around a Ryzen 5 9600X, Core i5-14400F, or a similar 65W chip and want AIO aesthetics without the cost of a performance AIO. You live in a city with a Cooler Master service center and value fast local warranty resolution. You are a first-time builder who wants a simple, well-documented install process. You want something that is always in stock across multiple retailers without chasing availability.

Skip it if: Your CPU is a Ryzen 7 or Core i7 - at those chips, you need a better cooler and the budget gap to an Arctic Liquid Freezer III 240 is only ₹2,000 more. Also skip it if you care about noise - a DeepCool AK620 at a similar price is quieter and will cool the same chips as well or better. And skip it if you are in a high-humidity coastal city and cannot add extra protection to the tubing - the rubber tubing degradation concern is real enough that it affects the long-term case for buying this cooler at all.

AIO is overkill for Ryzen 5/i5 builds at ₹60K in general - but if you are set on AIO and this is your budget, the MasterLiquid 240L Core is the honest answer.
