Building a compact ITX system with a modern flagship GPU is one of the most rewarding challenges in PC building — and one of the most PSU-constrained. Small form factor cases like the Cooler Master NR200P, Dan Cases A4, and NZXT H1 demand SFX or SFX-L PSUs, and until recently, finding 1000W capacity in SFX form factor was nearly impossible in India.

The Silverstone SX1000-LPT changes that. At ₹19,000–25,000, it's 1000W fully modular, 80+ Platinum-rated power in an SFX-L chassis — fitting cases that any SFX unit fits (SFX-L is 130mm long versus SFX's 100mm, but the same width and height, compatible with SFX slots via the included bracket in most ITX cases).

Context for India: Silverstone's SX700-LPT (700W) is the more commonly seen model on Indian builds. The SX1000-LPT is the harder-to-find sibling — needed when you're pairing an RTX 5080 or 5090 with a Ryzen 9 or Core Ultra 9 in a compact enclosure that physically cannot accommodate a standard ATX PSU.

Performance & Value Analysis

In my ITX build testing — RTX 5080 paired to a Core Ultra 9 265K in an NR200P — the SX1000-LPT handled sustained gaming and rendering loads cleanly. Transient response is solid for SFX form factor; 12V regulation stays within 1% even under the power spike conditions common in thermally constrained ITX builds where sustained loads are the norm rather than exception.

The SFX-L form factor advantage over standard SFX is meaningful: the extra 30mm length accommodates a 92mm fan (versus SFX's 80mm) and more bulk capacitors. The result is noticeably quieter operation at load — the SX1000-LPT in an NR200P runs measurably quieter than smaller SFX units under equivalent load.

Fully modular cable management is essential in ITX builds — every millimeter of internal space is precious, and unused cables are the enemy. Silverstone's cable kit covers modern requirements including a 16-pin adapter cable (12VHPWR) for PCIe 5.0 GPUs; note it's an adapter, not native — acceptable at 80W adapter connections for most 5080-class draws, but worth knowing.

The price premium over ATX alternatives is real and justified only by form factor: a quality ATX 1000W PSU costs ₹13,000–17,500. The SX1000-LPT costs ₹5,000–8,000 more. That's the ITX tax. If you're building small and need the wattage, it's the correct trade-off.

Budget for import pricing volatility — the SFX-L 1000W segment is thin on supply in India, so prices can jump ₹2,000–3,000 based on stock levels. GST is included in listed prices. Silverstone offers a 3-year warranty in India. If the SX1000-LPT is unavailable, the Corsair SF850 (850W SFX, ₹12,000–16,000) is a reasonable alternative for RTX 5080 builds with tighter wattage headroom.

Who Should Buy the Silverstone SX1000-LPT

ITX builders pairing RTX 5080 or 5090-class GPUs in compact cases — Cooler Master NR200P, Dan A4, NZXT H1, and similar. There is no comparable high-wattage SFX-L option available in India at this writing. If you're doing a once-in-5-years high-end ITX build and need 1000W in SFX form factor, this is the only real answer.

Who Should Skip the Silverstone SX1000-LPT

ATX case builders — any standard mid-tower or full-tower build should use an ATX 1000W unit (Corsair RM1000x, Seasonic Focus GX-1000) for ₹5,000–8,000 less. The SFX premium only makes sense when physical form factor demands it. Budget ITX builders with RTX 5070 or lower should look at the SX700-LPT (₹9,000–12,000) — sufficient wattage, significantly lower cost, same build quality.
