G.Skill Ripjaws S5 32GB DDR5-5600 Price India 2025 - Low-Profile DDR5 for Tight Builds
Most DDR5 kits come with tall heat spreaders - fins that extend the stick height to 40–44mm or more. That height becomes a problem when you install a large dual-tower air cooler. The Noctua NH-D15, be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 5, and similar coolers have their second fan or heatsink overhang above the first RAM slot, and sometimes the second slot too. At standard DDR5 stick heights, the cooler physically cannot seat, or the fan scrapes the RAM.
The G.Skill Ripjaws S5 solves this with a low-profile design. No fins, compact heat spreader, stick height around 31mm. It fits under virtually every large air cooler without modification.
Performance at DDR5-5600
The Ripjaws S5 DDR5-5600 runs CL36 timings. At this frequency and timing combination, it is a solid performer for Intel LGA1700 (12th and 13th Gen). The bandwidth is well-suited to Raptor Lake and Alder Lake architectures, and CL36 at 5600 MHz gives reasonable latency.
For AMD AM5 builds, DDR5-5600 is not the optimal choice. AM5's Infinity Fabric sweet spot is 2000 MHz - achieved with DDR5-6000. If you need a low-profile kit for AM5, look at the Ripjaws S5 DDR5-6000 variant instead.
Why RAM Height Matters
The Noctua NH-D15 is the reference large-tower air cooler - it is also the cooler that triggers the most RAM clearance questions. Its left tower overhang covers the first two RAM slots on most ATX motherboards. At standard DDR5 stick heights, you cannot fit the inner fan between the heatsink and the RAM, forcing users to remove it or use single-fan mode (which costs cooling performance).
Ripjaws S5 at 31mm height solves this completely. You can install the NH-D15 with both fans in place and run DDR5-5600 without any clearance issues.
India Availability
G.Skill has more limited India distribution than Kingston. MDComputers is the primary source - they stock Ripjaws V, S5, and Trident Z regularly. PrimeABGB carries G.Skill intermittently. Vedant Computers stocks G.Skill but availability fluctuates. Amazon India occasionally has G.Skill, but pricing is often above MDComputers levels.
The warranty situation for G.Skill in India is through local distributors - it is not as straightforward as Kingston's Rashi Peripherals setup. Confirm warranty terms with the seller before purchasing.
Who Should Buy This
Large air cooler users running Intel LGA1700 who need DDR5-5600 without RAM height conflicts. If you are on AM5, get the Ripjaws S5 DDR5-6000 variant instead - same low-profile form factor, better frequency for the platform.
