The Silent Wings 3 fan is a PWM fan that scales up under load but spins at its maximum 1,400 RPM quietly enough that most people can't hear it over the ambient noise in a normal room. I've sat next to a system with the Dark Rock 4 in it during a quiet evening and genuinely struggled to tell it was running.
