Why I'm Steering You Away From This One

I try not to be dramatic about GPU picks, but the GTX 1630 is one of the rare cases where I think the honest answer is: don't buy this for gaming. It's built on a cut-down, low-end Ampere die that NVIDIA originally aimed at basic office and display-output duty, not gaming. Independent testing from outlets like TechPowerUp and Hardware Unboxed has shown it performing at or even below the level of the GTX 1050 Ti, a card that's roughly six years older and, in India, usually cheaper.

That alone would be a footnote if the 1630 was priced like the budget filler card it actually is. It isn't. You'll see it listed anywhere from ₹12,599 to ₹25,900 across Zotac and other brands on PrimeABGB, Flipkart, and Amazon India, and at the higher end of that range it's genuinely hard to justify against almost anything else on the market, including cards a full tier above it.

Where It Might Actually Make Sense

If you're not gaming at all, the calculus changes a little. The GTX 1630 has modern display outputs, low power draw, and works fine as a dedicated card for driving multiple office monitors off a system whose integrated graphics can't handle that many displays. For that use case, output ports and idle power matter, frame rates don't. It's a reasonable pick for that narrow job, not for anything with "gaming" in the sentence.

Who Should Buy

Buy this if: you need a cheap add-in card purely for multi-monitor office output and have zero interest in gaming performance.

Skip this if: you're building any kind of gaming PC. At the low end of its price range, the GTX 1050 Ti does the same job for less money and performs at least as well. At the high end of its price range, you're better off saving up for a GTX 1660 Ti or similar.
