MSI's First Real B660 Board Here

Before this, MSI's presence on GetPC's motherboard list was H610M-E on the budget end and a handful of B760 boards up top. B660 itself was essentially untouched. The PRO B660M-A WiFi DDR4 fills that gap, and it does it with a genuinely strong value pitch: WiFi 6 built in, mATX form factor, DDR4 memory support, and MSI's Pro-series design, which leans a bit toward business and productivity builds but works perfectly fine for a gaming rig too.

The "Pro" branding isn't marketing fluff here so much as it describes MSI's target buyer: someone who wants a dependable, no-drama board rather than RGB and gamer styling. For a budget LGA1700 build, that's exactly what most people actually need.

The Value Case, With Numbers

This is where the board earns its spot. Nearly every other WiFi-equipped B660 board in this lineup costs meaningfully more.

That's a ₹4,000-8,000 gap to competing WiFi boards for the same core feature set: B660 chipset, DDR4, mATX, WiFi 6. The competing boards do generally have stronger VRMs and heavier heatsinks, which matters if you're chasing sustained performance with a hotter chip, but for a straightforward non-K build with a Core i5-12400F or i5-13400F, that difference rarely shows up in real use.

Skip this if you're running a higher-wattage chip and want the extra VRM headroom of the pricier Gigabyte or ASUS TUF WiFi boards, or you need more than one M.2 slot.
