An Older Chipset That Still Works

X470 launched back in the Ryzen 2000 era, well before PCIe 4.0 existed on AM4, so this board runs your GPU and NVMe drive on PCIe 3.0 lanes. For gaming, that difference is close to unmeasurable, PCIe 3.0 x16 versus PCIe 4.0 x16 doesn't move frame rates in any meaningful way with current GPUs, and PCIe 3.0 NVMe is still fast enough for OS and game loading. Where you lose out is sequential transfer speed on the fastest current NVMe drives and any future-proofing toward faster PCIe 4.0 SSDs.

GetPC has had zero X470 or X570 coverage until this batch, and X470 specifically is worth including because it's the chipset tier a lot of budget-conscious AM4 upgraders land on without realizing it's a step down from X570, not a step up from B450.

Where It Fits

MSI's Gaming Pro/Plus naming here covers a mid-tier ATX board with a workable VRM for a 5600X or 5800X3D at stock, and enough BIOS flexibility (after an update) to run current-gen Ryzen 5000 chips reliably. It's not the board for a 5950X pushed to its limits, and it's genuinely not the board if PCIe 4.0 storage speed matters to your workload. But as a pure gaming build backbone for a budget-focused 2026 AM4 rig, it does the job.

India Pricing and a Caveat Worth Repeating

The ₹13,000 figure comes from a single IndiaMART dealer listing out of New Delhi/Lucknow, not a national e-commerce price. That means availability and exact pricing will vary by region and by the dealer you're actually buying from. Confirm current stock, warranty terms, and whether the board is new or refurbished before paying, this is the kind of listing where a phone call before ordering saves you a headache later.

Who Should Buy / Who Should Skip

Buy this if budget is the single biggest constraint in your AM4 build and you're fine without PCIe 4.0 speeds.

Skip this if you want native PCIe 4.0 for a fast NVMe drive, or you'd rather buy from a mainstream retailer with clearer return policies, in which case look at the ASRock X570 Phantom Gaming 4 instead.
