Who Should Skip the Seagate Barracuda 6TB

NAS builders: do not put this in a multi-drive NAS. Seagate rates the Barracuda for desktop workloads — not 24/7 operation, not vibration-heavy multi-drive environments. The IronWolf 6TB exists for that purpose, and skimping here risks drive failure and data loss in a NAS context. Anyone who primarily needs speed should be buying NVMe, not HDD — there is no spinning disk that competes with even a budget Gen3 NVMe for workload responsiveness.
