This one, the Challenger, is the other option, and per ASRock's own product line, it's built on the same core card underneath. Same chip, same factory OC, same 8-pin power connector. The difference is the cooler, a smaller dual fan setup instead of three fans, and a shorter overall length. That difference is also why this is usually the cheaper of the two, and often one of the cheapest cards of this chip in India, period.

Where It Sits on Price

Listed at ₹28,457-39,084 across Vedant Computers, MD Computers, and PrimeABGB. That's the lowest floor of any 8GB card of this chip I'm tracking. Against its own sibling, the ASRock Steel Legend OC (₹33,134-42,000), the Challenger typically runs several thousand rupees cheaper, which lines up with the smaller cooler and no metal backplate. Against the Sapphire Pulse (₹29,950-38,900), another compact, factory-OC card, the two are close, and which one is actually cheaper on a given day depends on stock at the time, both have shown real week-to-week movement in retailer pricing. If budget is the deciding factor for you on this chip, the Challenger and Pulse are the two to compare directly before buying.

The Cooler, Honestly

Dual fan, per ASRock's own naming and product notes. That's the whole tradeoff versus the Steel Legend: fewer fans, a smaller shroud, and correspondingly less thermal headroom to work with. In a 30-35C Indian room, that generally means the fans on this card work a bit harder under sustained load than they would on the triple fan Steel Legend, to be clear I don't have a verified noise or temperature number for either card to put an exact figure on that gap, it's a reasonable expectation based on cooler size, not a measured claim. If quiet operation under load is your top priority and budget has some room, the Steel Legend or Gigabyte GAMING OC give you more cooler to work with. If you're fine with a dual fan card doing its job, this one is perfectly workable.

No RGB is confirmed for this model in my data, and ASRock's Challenger line has generally kept lighting minimal in past generations, so don't expect a lighting feature here.

Length and Case Fit

249mm. That's short enough to clear most mid-tower cabinets comfortably and a fair number of mATX cases too, though it's not in the same league as the ASUS Dual's 202mm if you're building genuinely small. Width in slots isn't confirmed in my data for this specific SKU, so I won't state a number, if slot spacing is tight in your build, say you're running something directly below the primary GPU slot, check ASRock's spec page before ordering. On length alone, this is one of the safer picks in this lineup outside of the ASUS Dual.

Power and Clocks

Single 8-pin connector, same as every other 8GB card of this chip. No adapter typically ships in box for an 8-pin card. Plan for a good quality 550-650W PSU with a typical mid-range CPU, this chip doesn't demand anything unusual regardless of which AIB variant you pick.

This is a factory-OC card. The usual caveat applies: expect roughly a 1-3% real-game gain over a reference-clocked card of the same chip, not a reason to pick this over the ASUS Dual on performance alone, more a small extra on top of an already competitive price.

India Warranty

Official India warranty stock, sold through ASRock's regular distribution, not import. ASRock's India RMA process runs through the standard channel and this card is listed as commonly available, so sourcing it shouldn't be difficult, though it does go out of stock at the bigger retailers from time to time, worth checking a couple of sites if your first choice is sold out.

Three Ways This Card Makes Sense

The tightest-budget buyer on this chip: if price is the single deciding factor and your cabinet has normal mid-tower clearance, this is usually the cheapest legitimate route to the RX 9060 XT 8GB with official India warranty.

The builder who doesn't need the biggest cooler: you're not chasing silence at all costs, a dual fan card doing its job is fine for your use case.

Not the noise-sensitive or SFF builder: if you want the most thermal headroom, the Steel Legend or Gigabyte give you a bigger cooler for a manageable premium. If you need sub-220mm length, look at the ASUS Dual instead.

Software and Monitoring

ASRock bundles Phantom Gaming Tuning (A-Tuning on some listings) with this card for fan curves and basic clock monitoring. It's optional, plenty of builders skip the bundled app entirely and run MSI Afterburner instead since it works across every brand and most people are already used to its overlay. If you're the type who likes to tune fan curves or just keep an eye on temperatures while gaming, either option gets the job done, the bundled app just saves you an extra download.
