The trade-offs are real: two DDR4 sockets with manufacturer-listed 64GB support, and one storage M.2 connector. Adding memory capacity can mean replacing the original pair. PCIe generation depends on the CPU. ASRock lists Gen4 graphics and primary M.2 with Vermeer/Matisse, but Gen3 links with supported Cezanne/Renoir/Picasso configurations. A Ryzen 5 5500 or 5600G does not gain PCIe 4.0 by being installed in B550. Check the exact processor rather than assuming 'Ryzen 5000' means the same lanes.
