Not the Same Board as Aorus Elite V2

The Aorus Pro V2 covered here is a different, higher tier in Gigabyte's B550 stack, distinct VRM design, distinct feature set, and about ₹3,000-4,000 more expensive depending on where you're buying. The naming similarity trips people up constantly, so if you're comparing Gigabyte boards, check "Elite" vs "Pro" carefully before ordering.

Pro-tier VRM here uses a beefier power stage design than the Elite, more phases with better thermal design, built specifically to give you comfortable headroom on the higher-end Ryzen 5000 chips. If you're running a Ryzen 7 5800X3D or Ryzen 9 5900X and want to sustain all-core workloads or long gaming sessions without worrying about VRM thermals, this is the tier where that stops being a concern.

What "V2" Changes

The V2 revision's main upgrade over the original Aorus Pro is the LAN controller, bumped to 2.5G from the original's Gigabit LAN. Everything else, VRM design, M.2 layout, general board architecture, carries over largely unchanged. If you find both revisions in stock at similar prices, V2 is the one to buy for the faster wired networking alone.

Storage and I/O

Two M.2 slots, both with heatsinks given the sustained loads this board is built for, one CPU-attached PCIe 4.0 for your boot drive and one chipset PCIe 3.0 for secondary storage. Six SATA ports for additional drives. Rear I/O includes enough USB 3.2 ports to cover a modern peripheral setup without needing a hub.

Who Should Buy / Who Should Skip

Buy this if you're running a Ryzen 7 5800X3D or Ryzen 9 5900X and want ATX VRM headroom with fast 2.5G wired networking, without stepping up to X570 pricing.

Skip this if you're on a Ryzen 5 5600 or 5700X (the Aorus Elite tier or ASRock Steel Legend cover those chips for less) or you need built-in WiFi (check current pricing on the Aorus Pro AC first, its listed price needs verification).
